Why Tomorrow's Hope
Tomorrow’s Hope began with a simple but urgent conviction: the people of Idaho with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserved better. Lisa Clark, a young entrepreneur with a vision and the persistence to see it through, opened our first ICF/ID in 1981 — not as a business venture, but as an act of belief.
More than four decades later, that belief still shows up every day in more than 60 lives across the Treasure Valley. It shows up in the staff members who have been here for 10, 15, even 20 years. It shows up in the slow, steady, real progress that happens when a person is finally seen for their abilities first.
Every individual we serve has their own goals, their own voice, and their own story. Our programs are built around that — not the other way around.
Founded by someone who believed in better care, and guided by that same belief ever since. Over four decades of service in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.
Our care team members are not just staff — they are advocates, consistent presences, and people who chose this work because it matters to them. Many have been with us for years.

Our Services
From comprehensive residential support to community-based therapy, every program is built around the individual. Not the other way around.

The most comprehensive level of care we offer. Each of our four Treasure Valley homes provides 24-hour support in a true home environment, with 6 to 8 residents per home. Every part of the day is a learning and growing opportunity — that is what “active treatment” means in practice.

Home and community-based support designed to help each individual build greater independence — in their own home, at their own pace. Less restrictive. More focused on what each person can grow toward.

Our Meridian center is open Monday through Friday, offering individual and group programs built around real life skills — daily living, socialization, communication, and community participation. Services are tailored to each participant’s goals and professional evaluation.
All services are provided under the direction of a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), Training Coordinator (TC), or Developmental Specialist (DS).
Our ICF/ID homes also include Licensed Professional Nurses and a Registered Nurse on staff.
Family Voices
My ward has been in the care of Tomorrow's Hope for many years, first in the group home setting and more recently in the residential habilitation setting. She has always received excellent care and her well-being is always the first priority. I am kept informed of what is happening in her life and am involved in her annual planning meeting, so I'm kept aware of her needs in all aspects of her life and how they are being addressed. Staff at Tomorrow's Hope have always been professional, courteous, informative in our communication, and willing to answer any questions I have. I am very grateful for Tomorrow's Hope and their care.

We were fortunate to have been able to create such an amazing relationship with Tomorrow's Hope — my son's 2nd family, just ask him! Ask me as well. Tomorrow's Hope was there to not only help with life skills, how to cope with unexpected feelings, anger, social issues, confusion, but the ability to voice those emotions. Not only for him, but for everyone within our circle.
My son would never have reached such amazing heights without the support from all of these blessed souls we have been blessed with. I can't help it, but my son legitimately graduated from high school! It took him a few more years, but that young man did it, and on his own! The first in his generation.
There's no way that we can do everything on our own. Not if we want to be emotionally stable in the future. They need us, we need them, our support groups, all of anyone. Tomorrow's Hope gave us the ability to be parents, siblings, aunts and uncles. To be able to breathe when we don't think we can anymore. What was the most difficult, painful, heart-wrenching decision for me was the best decision I have ever made.
Thank You,
-Grateful Parent
My son lives in a home run by Tomorrow's Hope, and I wanted to write a quick letter of recommendation for your facility. My son loves his home and is very comfortable there. That gives his father and I great peace of mind.
We really like the new setup in Res Hab. He is more comfortable with fewer people living in one house and it is awesome that all three boys are of similar age and ability.
I am confident in the staff and appreciate the thought and care that goes into his service plan. Our son has not always been an easy person to care for and through it all the Tomorrow's Hope team has persevered.
My husband and I really appreciate all you guys do! Keep up the good work!
-Grateful Couple
My son has been with Tomorrow's Hope for the past 20 years! He has not been an easy resident to serve as he is profoundly deaf and has limited communication abilities due to his severe autism. The staff have been INCREDIBLY COMPASSIONATE, attentive and WELL TRAINED to deal with his safety needs. They have gone far and above the call of duty to make sure that his preferences are observed and that his many needs are consistently met.
My son continues to THRIVE under the care and supervision of the Tomorrow's Hope team.
My family and I have been so grateful for the careful consideration of his many needs for safety and medical appointments to minimize his self-harming and occasionally aggressive behaviors when he is not able to communicate what is wrong. Our quality of life has greatly increased as his needs are consistently met in his “home away from home” environment.
When I bring him home for special occasions, I have no less than 12 alarms on my phone to remind me of the medication he takes each day. The staff manage not only the needs of my son, but also the needs of his housemates. I continue to stand in awe of the caring individuals who monitor all the things needed to have a safe place to function.
I would highly recommend Tomorrow's Hope for any family needing assistance with their person with developmental disabilities.

in loving memory
Thair Pond had a way of making every person in the room feel like the most important one there. He grew up in the Treasure Valley, served his country in Vietnam, and came home to build something that would outlast him — a place where people with developmental disabilities could be truly seen and genuinely cared for.
In 1981, alongside Deborah and Lisa Clark, Thair helped found Tomorrow's Hope. He served as CEO and Administrator, and to everyone who knew the organization, he was simply its heart.
He loved his community, his family, his motorcycle, and the mountains outside his back door. He never met a stranger.
Tomorrow's Hope carries his legacy forward in everything we do.
How to Get Started
Call, email, or send us a note. Our team listens first — no scripts, no pressure, no rush. Just an honest conversation about what you are looking for.
We take the time to meet the individual and their family, hear the full story, and understand what a good outcome actually looks like for them.
Together, we build a person-centered plan tailored to the right program — ICF/ID, ResHab, or Developmental Therapy.
We make every transition gentle and well-supported. Real relationships begin on day one.

Join Our Team
Ask the people who have been at Tomorrow’s Hope for five, ten, or twenty years why they stayed. The answer is almost always the same: they came for a job and found something more like a calling they never knew they had.
Direct care is hard, meaningful, and real. You will see people grow. You will be part of that growth. And you will work alongside a team that genuinely has your back — because that is the kind of organization Tomorrow’s Hope has always been.
We invest in your training, celebrate your milestones, and believe that your growth matters just as much as the growth of the individuals we serve.
We also believe in flexibility — the kind that allows you to balance the work you love with the life you are building outside of it. People who are well-supported in their whole lives show up as better caregivers, and we take that seriously. And we believe in fun. Not as an afterthought. A real and intentional part of our culture, because a positive, energetic team is the foundation of genuinely great care.
If you are looking for work with life-changing impact you have come to the right place.
